This year, our run will again be based at the White Hart community pub on the High Street in Alton, Staffordshire ST10 4AQ – food and re-hydration (!!) will be available afterwards.

There is a slightly amended course for 2024, still including the magnificent, stunning scenery of Dimmingsdale, but also giving the runners the chance to run through some of the most spectacular and iconic sections of the Churnet Valley.

Whilst we have an exciting new route, the run will have the same features that we have enjoyed for over 30 years – minimising the use of tarmac, being mainly on gravel tracks & trails, and still having a challenging uphill finish.

The full Challenge Course is approx. 10 Km, and the FunRun around 2 miles.

Owing to the rough terrain and gravel tracks, we regret that course is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs.

We are doing our best to eliminate unnecessary waste and single-use plastics; water for participants at the finish will be supplied in disposable cups – please use and dispose of these in an environmentally-friendly way.
